The Town of Luray is accepting applications for the part-time position of Maintenance & Mowing Operator for the Public Works Department
The person employed will be required to perform basic maintenance, mowing/trimming, and debris removal in support of the departmental programs and overall mission. A high school diploma, or GED, is preferred for this position. The successful candidate will be able to safely and effectively operate zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, weed eaters, backpack blowers, and other similar power equipment. This is an hourly position with no benefits. The pay rate is based on qualifications. The position will be scheduled for up to 29 hours a week, for an annual maximum total of up to1500 hours. The work schedule is flexible so long as it is pre-approved and meets the needs of the position. A valid Virginia driver’s license is required.
