Meet Barney!

~ Submitted by the Page County Animal Shelter

Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality!

This handsome senior is Barney!

He is estimated to be about 10-plus years old. Barney came to the shelter as a stray so there’s no background on him, but when he arrived, he had a severe upper respiratory infection. He was immediately rushed to the vet, but they’ve had trouble diagnosing him. Barney has been on almost 10 different medications to combat his illness and he still struggles with it. He is doing MUCH better now, but this might be an ongoing issue with him. His veterinarian is beginning to suspect that cancer may be a possibility.

Barney hasn’t quite gotten the grasp of housebreaking. It appears he may have been able to relieve himself wherever he wanted, so a family who can be patient with him while he learns would be best suited for him.

Barney is an absolute snuggle and cuddle-bug. He wants to go everywhere you are, at all times. He loves to play ball outside, but after he’s done playing, he wants right back in to lay on his bed.

Barney has not been kid, cat, or dog tested.
