Meet Callie!

Callie

Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets

from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality.

This is Callie!

Callie is an approximately 3 year old calico. She is spayed, but has yet to get her rabies vaccination. She came to the shelter after her owners found themselves in a predicament where they were no longer able to care for her.

Callie had a brief day or two where she was confused on who was friend or foe. She would meow when called and then immediately hiss at you. Sweet meow-hiss-sweet meow-hiss. Thankfully, she found her comfort zone fairly quickly and has since settled in nicely. She no longer feels the need to act tough and sticks with just the sweet meows, now.

Speaking of which, her tiny pleas for attention are completely irresistible! She loves to be loved on and will happily rub up against anything in her path. Sometimes, her caregivers like to call her the “land shark” because she becomes so entranced by your affection that she’ll circle you endlessly, like a shark.

If you are interested in meeting Callie,

please send the shelter an email inquiry or call the Page County Animal Shelter at (540) 778-2101. Please keep an eye out for our email reply. Sometimes they find their way to the spam/junk folder.
