from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality.

This is Izzy!

Izzy is an approximately 2-and-a-half-year-old female cat. She found her way to the shelter after she was surrendered when her family was no longer able to care for her.

Shelter life has not been the easiest on Izzy. She has been forced out of her comfort zone of a loving home. It has taken her some time, but Izzy is more affectionate than ever. She is still taken aback when another cat approaches her kennel, but she has come a very long way. Izzy is still a little uncomfortable with her environment, but she has been sweet with staff.

For the most part, Izzy is a quiet and calm sweetheart. When she’s feeling a little spunky, she likes to make silly faces while she bobbles her head in play. It’s always funny to watch her pupils dilate from sweet and round to sharp like snake eyes.

She makes cute, short meows to get your attention and is always happy to see staff in the mornings. She tends to bat at your hand if your over stimulate her while petting, but she has been gentle about it and would likely stop altogether in a peaceful home environment.

Her preferred method of drinking her water is sticking her paw in the bowl and daintily licking the water off. This gal tends to imprint on her food, so any dietary changes should be done gradually.

Overall, this quirky girl is just waiting for someone to rescue her from her tower.

Could you be the hero she’s been waiting for?
