Meet Oscar!

Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality!

This is Oscar!

Some of you may recognize this little guy as he came through the shelter once before, but he may look a little different. He had been adopted a year ago, but has since been returned. He was having some skin issues and they just wanted what was best for him. He has since been taken to the veterinary clinic and been examined.

The vet sent him home with a short prescription and a fairly clean bill of health. He’s doing well, but is currently fighting off a skin infection and likely has an allergy to fleas. As long as he is given a dose of Advantage every month and kept flea free, he should be fine. His skin infection issues will resolve, and he will regrow his hair in a few weeks. He has already had some regrowth.

Aside from his skin issues, Oscar is very, very sweet. He is a quiet and calm wallflower, who will occasionally meow to you in his sweetest voice. Oscar is a gentle giant and would love nothing more than to go to a peaceful household where he could bask in all of your love.

Oscar has not been kid/cat/dog tested, but did previously live with his sister.

If you’d be interested in getting to know this gentle boy,
