Meet Zeno!

Zeno

~ Submitted by the Page County Animal Shelter

Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality!

This sweet boy is Zeno!

Zeno is about 4-5 years old, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He came to the shelter after his owner could no longer care for him.

He is a very affectionate fella who just wants to be loved on constantly! He loves his whole body rubbed and scratched. Zeno has A LOT of energy and doesn’t realize his size all the time so he is recommended to a home with older children, but he did live with all ages in his previous home.

He was a “frequent flyer” at the shelter as he liked to run out the door and explore the neighborhood. So a secure fenced in yard would probably suit him best.

Zeno is basically housebroken. He only has accidents in his kennel if he can’t hold it any longer or his tummy is upset. He also chews on his blanket out of stress, but he’s since been given some durable toys to chew on instead.

They are working on straightening out his upset tummy with prescription gastrointestinal dry food (which he loves), but hopefully soon he will be able to go back to regular food. Zeno also had been taking medication for a skin allergy that is now under control, but it may be a lifelong issue with him that will need to be followed up with by a veterinarian.

He has not been cat tested, but lived with a female dog in his previous home. He could potentially be adopted to a home with a female dog in a new home, but Zeno has shown some dominance with other male dogs.
