Alma Mae “Lena” Nauman Cubbage, 91, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on April 17, 1933, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Thomas J. Nauman and Pearl Jenkins Nauman.
Lena was a member of the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church.
Her husband, Charles Walter Cubbage, died on June 13, 2016.
She is survived by two sons, Woodrow Cubbage and wife Lisa of Stanley, and Dennis W. Cubbage, also of Stanley; one grandson, Adam Cubbage and wife Molly; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ellie Cubbage, and a third great-grandchild on the way, Owen Cubbage.
She was preceded in death by eight sisters, Charlotte E. Comer, Martha Adams, Mary E. Burner, Audrey H. Burner, Margaret P. Lansberry, Doris “Polly” Montgomery, Zethel O. McCoy and Ethel Cubbage; and two brothers, Thomas H. Nauman and Ernest A. Nauman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, at the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 6, at the church by Pastor Randy Miller. Burial will be in the Seekford Family Cemetery in Stanley.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
