Age 91, Rileyville, Va.
Annie Elizabeth Samuels, 97, of Rileyville, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Life Care Center of New Market.
She was born on December 25, 1925, in Page County and was a daughter of the late Armond Clyde Stoneberger and Lelia Duncan Stoneberger.
Annie was a member of the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley.
On October 27, 1971, Annie married James Lee Samuels, who died on May 25, 2017.
She is survived by three daughters, Janice Beahm and husband Phil of Rileyville, Peggy Somers and husband Jim of Luray, and Doris Foltz and husband Jerry of Stanley; a sister, Ruby Stoneberger of Culpeper; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Junior and James “Jimmy” Seal; four sisters, Lillian V. Fox, Loretta Pearl Nichols, Ruth Ann Miller and Dorothy Breeden; three brothers, Joseph, Clyde William and Armond Stoneberger Jr.; and a grandson, Brian Foltz.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 13, at the Calvary Independent Brethren Church by Pastor Donnie Lam and the Rev. Charles Turner. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
