May 11, 1911 — The Temperance Convention at Leaksville last Saturday was the best meeting of the kind ever held in the county, and no better evidence could be offered than this that the WCTU aided by the Anti Saloon League and the growing opposition on the part of the public generally to the enormity of the evil of the liquor traffic. Shenandoah, Stanley, Luray and Leaksville Unions had large delegations present.
