SHENANDOAH, July 8 — A special performance during the Virginia Babe Ruth 10U state softball tournament held July 3-6 at Veterans Memorial Fields in Shenandoah earned local all star Nataleigh Austin Most Valuable Player honors. The locals knocked off the visiting competition by a combined score of 46-5 over the first three games. The 10U all stars from the Shenandoah Recreation League fought hard into extra innings of the state championship game to come out on top of the seven-team field.
