Age 81, Shenandoah, Va.
Bonnie Louise Smith, 81, of Shenandoah, Virginia, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at Life Care Center in New Market. She was born on Thursday, June 22, 1944, in Page County and was the daughter of the late Thomas Leo and Mary Catherine Good Wright.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bryant Wright, and sisters, Bessie Wright and Beverly Shiflett.
Bonnie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was employed with Blue Bell in Shenandoah prior to becoming a homemaker.
Surviving are her son, Gregory Smith and wife, Amanda; sisters, Betty Hensley, Brenda Wright, Becky Turner; brothers, Billy Wright, Benny Wright, Bobby Wright and wife, Diane, Buddy Wright and wife, Donna, Bruce Wright; two grandchildren, Adalyn Smith and Brynlee Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
Interment with a private committal will be at McAlister Cave Cemetery in Comertown with Pastor Jim Kite officiating.
