Sixth-seeded Luray (11-11) takes on No. 3 Falcons (16-4)

LURAY, Oct. 31 — The Luray Bulldogs are preparing to face the Falcons of Central on Monday at 7 p.m. in Woodstock in the quarterfinal round of the Region 2B volleyball tournament. Luray enters the region tournament after earning one win this week to advance to the semifinal round of the Bull Run District tournament. The seventh-seeded Page County Panthers (2-19) were eliminated in the quarterfinal round of the district tournament with a 3-0 loss at second-seeded Central.
The Bulldogs picked up a 3-0 win over fourth-seeded Rappahannock on the road Monday night in a district quarterfinal. Fifth-seeded Luray then fell 3-0 the next night in a Bull Run semifinal at No. 1 Clarke.
Top-seeded Clarke will host No. 2 Central (16-4) at 7:15 p.m. on Halloween night in Berryville for the Bull Run District championship. The Eagles will be the No. 2 seed in the Region 2B tournament, with Fort Defiance taking the No. 1 spot with a record of 22-1.
