March 13, 1966 — Tommy Campbell, of Luray High School, and Jerry Hoak, of Page County High School were first team District 10 selections, picked by the Daily News Record sportswriters for the 1966 basketball season. Hoak, a junior, was a returnee from last year’s district champions and probably the most accurate shooter in the league. Campbell was Luray’s play maker and a co-captain as a junior. Young Campbell was also an All-District and All-State selection in football.
