Carl Franklin “Frankie” Comer, 76, of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home. Mr. Comer was born on March 24, 1949, in Shenandoah and was the son of the late Paul Jennings Comer, Sr. and Nellie Lee Judd Comer.
Frankie grew up in Shenandoah and attended Page County High School. He was diagnosed with cancer December 31, 2025, and had been under Hospice care since. Frankie worked construction for O’Sullivans, Town & Country, and Brown & Root. He enjoyed the times he spent with friends, sharing jokes and laughter that was very special to him.
Frankie is survived by sisters, Sandra Breeden and husband, Teddy, Linda Williams and husband, Phil, Brenda Comer and companion, Earl Lee Madison, II, and Joyce Dean and husband, Wayne; a brother, Allen Comer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by siblings, Paul Comer, Jr., Wilson Comer, Bruce Comer, Carol J. Comer, and Nancy Comer Lam.
Frankie’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will celebrate his life privately.
