Carroll Lee Moubray

Age 86, Elkton, Va.

Carroll Lee Moubray, 86, of Elkton, departed this life surrounded by family and went to his eternal home on Sunday, September 14, 2025. He was born December 4, 1938 in Elkton and was the son of the late Virge Millard and Virginia Marie Merica Moubray.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years, Mary Gertrude Stanley Moubray, his second wife of 12 years, Betty Jean Turner Minnick Moubray; brothers, Kenneth “Kenny” Moubray and Oliver Moubray; grandsons, Nathan Wayne Moubray and Shannon Stanley.

Carroll was a hard worker who provided for his family and also took care of others. He was known for his unwavering work ethic and role as a caretaker. Carroll devoted much of his career to United Association Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 10, where he earned the respect of his co-workers across the region. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Carroll is survived by his sons, David “Dave” Moubray and wife, Aileen of Elkton, Randolph “Randy” Moubray and wife, Trisha of Shenandoah, Dale Moubray and wife, Eva of Harrisonburg; daughter, Pamela Knight and husband, Nathan of McGaheysville; step-son, Roy Stanley and wife, Nancy of Stanley; step-daughter, Judy Taylor and husband, Danny of Stanley; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2025 at Shenandoah Assembly of God, 311 Comertown Rd., Shenandoah, VA 22849 with Pastor Carter Dean officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
