Age 88, Elkton, Va.
Charles Lorman McMillen, 88, of Elkton, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 in Shenandoah. He was born January 6, 1937 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Harry and Arlene Lam McMillen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles M. McMillen and his brother, Curtis W. McMillen
Charles grew up on Huckle Berry mountain and was a member of the Elkton Pentecostal Church. He served our country in the United States Army for two years. He loved fishing of any kind. Charles was an avid guitar and banjo player. He retired from the Stanley Furniture Company where he worked for many years. Charles loved his family and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Stacey McMillen and wife, Angel; daughter, Pamela Breeden and husband, Randy; sisters, Mary Jane Hensley, Virginia May Carr, Doris Jean Williams and husband, Ronnie, Arlene Frances Parker, Barbara L. hart and Dianna Faye McMillen; grandchildren, Andrew McMillen and wife, Amanda, Christopher W. Breeden and wife, Rachel, Aaron Samuels and wife, Jackie, Kristine Cubbage; 13 great-grandchildren, one on the way and a special friend, Wilma Lee Mowbray.
A Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Elkton Pentecostal Church with Pastor Eddie Byers and Pastor Travis Hensley officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
