Charles McDonald “Mackie” Good, 79, departed this life on June 19, 2025, at his home in Stanley, Virginia.
Mackie, as his family and friends all called him, was born in Stanley on August 15, 1945. He was the son of the late Clarence Matthew Good and the late Mary Marie Good.
Mackie was retired from a lifelong career with Norfolk and Southern Railroad. As anyone could tell you, he loved animals and farming. He enjoyed attending farming auctions and playing and singing bluegrass music.
Mackie is survived by his sister, Bonnie Good Blosser of Stanley; and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own children.
Mackie was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Good, and his sister, Peggy Good Corbin, both of Stanley.
No services are planned at this time.
