Charles Victor Rinaca, 84, of Shenandoah, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Page Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Rinaca was born on August 10, 1941 in Shenandoah and was raised in the home of his grandparents, Patrick Henry and Emma Griffith Rinaca, and their children who were like his brothers and sisters, Phillip, Inman, Gerald, Lynn, Allan, Melvin, Vivian, Dorothy, Eleanor, Margaret.

He grew up in Shenandoah and attended Page County schools. He was baptized at Beldor Mennonite Church, and enjoyed gardening on the river, spending time with his granddaughter, milk shakes with his daughter-in-law, and ground hog hunting.

He served our country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 at the height of the Vietnam War, achieving the Rank of Sergeant, and was lifetime member and past commander of the Avis O. Comer VFW Post 8613 in Shenandoah. He loved attending auctions and pursuing other interests. He retired from Dunham Bush after 37 years of service.

On August 11, 1962, he married the former Norva Jean Hensley Rinaca, and after nearly 60 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on June 20, 2022. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Rinaca.

Mr. Rinaca is survived by son, Eric Rinaca and wife, Priscilla of Shenandoah; granddaughter, Samantha Rae Rinaca; care giver and friend, Rebekah Taylor.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday April 2, 2026 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with Pastor James Akerson officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be private at Newport Christian Church Cemetery.

The family wants to thank Pastor James Akerson for his visits, Blue Ridge Hospice, the Ladies at Page Memorial Hospital, and the Veterans Care Team.
