Charlotte Ann Atkins Vaughn, 86, of Luray, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, VA.
She was born on June 4, 1939, in Rappahannock County, VA, and was a daughter of the late Monroe Atkins and Ella Katherine Frye Atkins.
Charlotte loved her family. She enjoyed working in her home and outdoors. She adored animals, especially her poodle, Tiffany, and her cats, Alley, Lady and Tom.
On July 27, 1987, she married Douglas Vaughn, who died on August 6, 2007.
Charlotte is survived by three daughters, Deborah Judd and companion Lee Keyser of Madison, VA, Teresa Painter of Stanley, VA, and Karen Taylor and husband Donny of Kenbridge, VA; four brothers, Woodrow “Woody” Atkins and wife Nancy of Stanley, VA, Robert Atkins of Warrenton, VA, Kenneth Atkins of Luray, VA, and Ronald Atkins and wife Judy of Washington, VA; five grandchildren, Hollie Vile (Blair), Zachary Judd (Sara), Shawn Mayes (Brittany), Amanda Fletcher (Michael) and Alan Taylor (Tiffany); 11 great-grandchildren, Lexie Knight (Tristan), Landon Vile, Jayden Taylor, Lakin Vile, Liam Mayes, Emilia Fina, Bladyn Mayes, Zayden Judd, Davis Fletcher, Zander Judd and Colter Mayes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ned Atkins, Marshall Atkins and Charles Heggie Frye; and one sister, Nancy Kellison.
A private family memorial service is being planned for a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
