Cheryl Ann Painter, 54, of Grottoes, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 in Shenandoah. She was born August 1, 1970 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Sandridge and Wynona “Kay” Bergdoll Sandridge.
Anne grew up in Harrisonburg and was a long-time resident of Stanley where she raised her twin boys. Anne loved the beach, especially Surfside Beach, South Carolina. She loved gardening and flowers. Anne loved going to her granddaughter’s sporting events and loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Anne is survived by her sons, Christopher R. Painter and wife, Meagan of Shenandoah and Jacob A. Painter and wife, Brandy of Grottoes; grandchildren, Harper and Kennedy Painter; long-time friend and co-worker, Vickie Painter of Staunton. She will be missed by her loving furry companions, “Macy” and “Scooby”.
A Graveside Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg with Pastor Jacob Hensley officiating.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
