Clifton Ray Ellis Jr., 67, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on July 28, 1956, in Luray and was a son of the late Clifton Ray Ellis and Louise Ellis.
Clifton had previously worked as a boiler operator for Merillat.
On December 19, 1981, he married Brenda Faye Jenkins Ellis, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Brandy Faye Sager and husband Michael Sager of Luray; two brothers, Gary Michael Ellis and Kenny Wayne Ellis, both of Luray; two sisters, Debbie Fansler of Broadway, and Sharon Byrd of Maryland; two half brothers, Jason Ray Ellis of Luray, and Edward “Jake” Campbell of Virginia Beach; a half sister, Brenda Louderback; and three grandchildren, Austin Stanley, Caitlyn Stanley and Caleb Sellers, all of Luray.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Allen Ellis; and a sister, Mary Ellen Lang.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, at the Ida Grove Gospel Church by Pastor Earl E. Painter. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at the church.
