Clyde Franklin Dinges, 66, of Stanley, went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2025.
He was born on March 5, 1959, in Stanley and was a son of the late Charles Russell Dinges Sr. and Geneva Mae Lucas Dinges.
Clyde owned and operated Clyde F. Dinges Landscaping. He loved to hunt and fish, as well as being a jokester. Clyde enjoyed cutting logs, and was very skilled with a chainsaw.
Clyde was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene Elaine Thomas Dinges, who passed away in 2012.
Clyde is survived by a son, Kevin Dinges and wife Cassie of Stanley; a daughter, Penny Foster and husband Timmy of Stanley; three brothers, Billy Dinges of Stanley, Charles Dinges Jr. of New Market, and Russell Dinges of Ruckersville; two sisters, Alice Burker of Stanley, and Dorothy Lucas of Luray; and two grandsons, T.J. Foster and Waylon Dinges.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Clyde was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Lee Dinges and Roy Dinges; and his grandparents, Ausby and Mary Lucas.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 12, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, at the church by the Rev. Jack Campbell. Burial will be in the McCoy Family Cemetery in Stanley.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
