Age 91, Luray, Va.
Columbus “Dike” Tutt Jr., 91, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Page Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 3, 1933, and was a son of the late Columbus “Lummy” Tutt Sr. and Florence Viola Bundy Tutt.
Columbus married Elaine Rita Coleman Tutt, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Angela Faye Tutt of Bowie, MD, and Jennifer Dawn Tutt of Harrisonburg; two sons, Jeffrey Shawn Tutt and James Rinaldo Tutt, both of Luray; two sisters, Beatrice Hortense Bailey and Marilyn Theressa Frye, both of Luray; six grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Robinson, Craig Lamont Tutt, Kendall Thompson, Garrett T. Thompson, Jamie Tutt and Hadley Tutt; and one great-grandchild, J. Saul Columbus Robinson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beatrice Elaine Tutt; a son, Columbus Tutt III; two sisters, Viola Marie Jeffries and Helen Gladys Tutt; and a brother, Steve Harper Tutt.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, at the Bethel Baptist Church in Luray by Pastor Stephanie Callwood. Burial will be in the Bundy/Tutt Family Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
I worked with Tutt for over 22 years. He was a very well-respected man. May God Bless the Tutt family at this time of sorrow. RIP in peace mt friend.
