Age 73, Luray, Va.
Danny Lee Somers, 73, of Luray, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, July 18, 2025.
He was born on August 15, 1951, in Virginia and was a son of the late Ralph “Rab” Somers and Edith Lorraine “Polly” Abbott Somers.
On January 27, 1973, he married Sue Taylor Somers, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Housden and husband Jason of Luray; a son, Jeffrey Somers and wife Michelle of Luray; a brother, R. Allen Somers and wife Becky of Luray; a sister, Cathy Somers of Luray; and three grandchildren, Brittany Housden, Brandon Housden and Olivia Somers, all of Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, at the funeral home by Pastor Josh Parlett. Burial will be in the Somers Family Cemetery in Luray.
