David Neil Wilson, of Rileyville, Virginia, has passed away at the age of 74.

Born on March 24, 1951, in Takoma Park, Maryland, the oldest son of Neil Wilson and June Vincent Wilson, David grew up in Adelphia, Maryland, with younger siblings Ron and Carol. He went to elementary school at John Nevins Andrews School, high school at Takoma Academy, then college at what was then Columbia Union College, now Washington Adventist University.

David married Barbara Abbott Wilson on August 29, 1976, and they had four children.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his children, Brent (Rebecca), Erin, Cassie (Donyai), and Alex (Danika); his four grandchildren, Sadie, Charlotte, Lucy, and Mabel; his brother, Ron, and sister Carol (Richard) of Erie, PA.

David was a teacher in Luray, Virginia, for many years. He made many positive connections and was regularly invited to various classes’ homecomings. Some of his many interests included history, family genealogy, Major League Baseball – especially the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles. He finished his working career at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

He died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his residence in Rileyville.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
