Dixie Faye Tharp Cubbage, 63, of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 9, 1960, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Willie Edward Tharp and Mary Catherine Campbell Tharp.
Dixie was a member of the Riverview Independent Gospel Church in Stanley.
On October 3, 1975, she married Rickey Cubbage, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Stephanie Chrisman (Winfred “Shannon”), and Kelly Cash (Michael), both of Stanley, and Jamie Kibler (Brandon) of Luray; a son, Rickey “R.J.” Lee Cubbage Jr. of Stanley; two brothers, Willie Tharp Jr. of Luray, and Jeffrey Samuels of Stanley; two sisters, Ethel Shifflett of Crimora, and Sherlan Stoneberger of Stanley; six grandchildren, Vanessa Chrisman, Shannon “Boutsie” Tyler Chrisman, Alexis Kibler, Michael “Mikey” Cash, Jordan Cash and Evan Lee Cubbage; and two great-grandchildren, Aleigha Cloude and Graclynn Chrisman.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe E. Tharp and Terry D. Tharp; a sister, Deloris Stoneberger; and two grandchildren, Angel Dawn Kibler and Jacob Tylor Cash.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Jack Campbell, Evangelist Jeff Lucas and the Rev. Tony Cubbage. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverview Independent Gospel Church, Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church or to New Life Pentecostal Church.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
