Donna Jean Mickel Kinsey, 87, of Shenandoah, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
She was born on May 24, 1938, in Johnstown, PA, and was a daughter of the late Otis Mickel and Irene Malloy Mickel.
Donna had worked as a manager at Bi-Lo Foods, retiring with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Mill Creek Bible Church in Luray.
Donna is survived by a daughter, Karen Lilly and husband Chris of Shenandoah; a son, David Kinsey Jr. of Shenandoah; two sisters, Joan Bliss of Great Falls, and Kathy Watts of Lucas, Texas; four grandchildren, Grace Lilly of Luray, Andrew Lilly and wife Madison of King George, Kaitlyn Jeffreys of Johnstown, PA, and Duncan Jeffreys and wife Pamela of St. Cloud, FL; and four great-grandchildren, Dean, Keira, Dylan and Wesley, expected to arrive in July.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristine Jeffreys; and a brother, Frederick Mickel.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the Mill Creek Bible Church, 4903 Mill Creek Rd., Luray, by the Rev. John Boyd.
