Dual Presidential Primary set for Tuesday, March 5 with early in-person voting ending Saturday

LURAY, Feb. 29 — Polls will open at 6 a.m. next Tuesday, March 5 for ballots being cast in the Dual Presidential Primaries. Voters will be asked which political party’s primary they wish to vote in before receiving a ballot. Polls will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and early in-person voting ends this Saturday, March 2 at 5 p.m.

Two voting precincts will be moving on Tuesday from their traditional locations in local schools, so that the primary election process does not interrupt the school day. The District 1 polling location will shift from Springfield Elementary, to Page United Methodist Church (1062 Springfield Road, Luray). The District 4 polling location will shift from Stanley Elementary, to the Stanley Fire Department (190 East Main Street, Stanley), which already serves as the District 3 polling site.

District 2 voters will still vote at Luray VFW Post 621 (218 Veterans Lane) along Route 211 east of Luray, and District 5 voters will still vote at the Shenandoah VFW Post 8613 (1103 Varina Avenue) just north of Shenandoah.

In-person Early Voting is being held in the Lower Level of the County Administration Building (103 South Court Street, Luray) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday March 1, 2024, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 2.

Emergency voting will be available in the Page County Voter Registrar’s office on Monday, March 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; if conditions meet the Code of Virginia requirements.
