November 8, 1890 — Mayor Booton has been in correspondence with an electric light company in reference to lighting our town by electricity. He learns that a plant capable of furnishing about 30 lights will cost from $5,000 to $7,000 per year and that the price per light varies according to the accessibility to coal to the town.
