Elizabeth “Blanche” Cubbage Claytor, 84, of Stanley, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by family.
She was born on November 12, 1940, in Page County to Lewis and Sally Cubbage.
Blanche was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She married the love of her life, Larry Claytor, on September 17, 1966, and they shared 46 wonderful years together before his passing in 2013.
Blanche is survived by a daughter, Connie Lucas and husband Jeff; her grandchildren, Katlyn Painter and husband Aaron, and Faith Lucas and fiancé Caleb Wright; one son and family; and a brother, David Cubbage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Larry Claytor; and a brother, Robert “Shirley” Cubbage.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, at the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to friends and family for their prayers, support and kindness during this difficult time.
