Age 88, Luray, Va.
Emmett Carson Campbell Jr., 88, of Luray, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Life Care Center of New Market.
He was born on August 3, 1936, in Luray and was a son of the late Emmett Carson Campbell Sr. and Mary Evelyn Nunn Campbell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Campbell; and a sister, Emily Campbell.
Emmett retired from Avtex, with 36 years of service, and then worked for VDOT for 10 years. He was a member of Rileyville Baptist Church.
On March 17, 1956, he married Christine Alger Campbell, who preceded him in death in 2020.
Emmett is survived by a son, Keith Campbell and daughter-in-law Elizabeth; a daughter, Vicki Burner and son-in-law Darrell; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A private service is planned.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
