Final note

July 27, 1961 — The Town of Stanley has paid the final note on the water system which was put in the town in 1936. According to E.L. Knight, the only living member of the 1936 Town Council, the project cost about $30,000, when the lines were laid and the well drilled. The well which is 367 feet deep supplies the town with plenty of water and has a water tank of about 100,000 gallons.
