Chickens

August 27, 1887 — Mr. Thos. L. Menefee was in town on Monday with specimens of thoroughbred Wyandotte chickens, raised this spring. They were very large, and one hatched April 10 weighing five pounds and two ounces. Mr. Menefee is of the opinion that of all the improved varieties of fowls, the Wyandotte is the best, being prolific layers and rapid growers. He offers pairs for sale at from $3 to $4. It pays as well to improve your breed of fowls as it does your cattle and horses.
