The zoning ordinance passed by a 3-2 vote at a special meeting Sept. 14, putting an end to a 20-year struggle to obtain zoning in the county. Aleshire assumed his duties Oct. 2. Temporarily, his office is located in the office of the building inspector in the former jail building on South Court Street.
