Garnetta Fern Judd Foley, of Luray, passed away on December 27, 2025, at Hidden Springs Senior Living in Bentonville, Va.

She had been a resident there since 2019 and had recently celebrated her 99th birthday.

Garnetta was born on November 2, 1926, and graduated from Luray High School in 1943.

On November 4, 1944, she married Joseph V. Foley Jr., who preceded her in death in August of 1996.

Garnetta was a member of the Page United Methodist Church. She was active in the United Methodist Women and had also served as church membership secretary for many years.

She is survived by two children, Cynthia Reynolds (Danny) of Melissa, TX, and Stephen Foley (Wanda) of Max Meadows, VA; five grandchildren, Karen Vest (Jeremy), Kevin Reynolds and Sarah Reynolds, all of Austin, TX, Stephanie Ayers (Doug) and Denise Felts (Tim), all of Wytheville, VA; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Garnetta was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer O. and Lena R. Judd. She was the youngest of their five daughters, all deceased: Edna Heiston, Elva Miller, Lucille Broyles and infant Elizabeth Irene.

A service will be held at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the service, which will be conducted by the Rev. John Stelzl of the Page United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Page United Methodist Church, the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad or to a charity of choice.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Hidden Springs for the care and attention they provided for the past six years. The family also wishes to thank the caregivers of Blue Ridge Hospice for the extra tenderness and dedication they bestowed on Garnetta.
