Age 95, Harrisonburg, Va.
Gene Ora Adams, 95, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at White Birch Communities in Harrisonburg.
He was born on April 19, 1930, in Rockingham and was a son of the late Ora William Adams and Sylvia Landes Adams.
Gene was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1952-1954. He had worked at Avtex in Front Royal and was a member of the Hilliard Chapel Assembly of God in Stanley.
On October 14, 1962, Gene married Martha Alda Nauman Adams, who died on May 22, 2011.
Gene is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson William Adams; and two sisters, Lucille Adams Lamb and Charlotte Adams Sciota.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the Hilliard Chapel Assembly of God by Hurley Shortt, Brandon Burner and Sam Seekford, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Hilliard Chapel Cemetery.
