Geneva “Sissy” Mae Dean Shifflett ,58, of Elkton passed away January 3, 2026 at her home.
Mrs. Shifflett was born April 7, 1967 in Harrisonburg, and was the daughter of Gracie Lam Samuels of Elkton, and the late Delmas A. Dean. She grew up near Naked Creek and was baptized at Furnace United Methodist Church and attended Elkton High School. She enjoyed babysitting and her flower gardens. She had worked at Massanutten, Coors and most recently the C&S Diner.
Besides her mother, Mrs. Shifflett is survived by her husband, Gregory Shifflett; a son, Patrick Dean; a daughter, Nicole McAllister; special grandkids, Skylar Grace Wells, Novalee Luna Dean; brothers, David Dean & Amy, Barry Dean & Lisa, Bradley Dean & Allison; sister, Shania Dean Riddleberger & Brandon.
Services will be private.
Family and friends may call and visit at the home of her mother, Gracie, at any time.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
