Age 92, Rileyville, Va.
Grace Ellen Rothgeb, 92, of Rileyville, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 25, 1932, in Sperryville and was a daughter of the late William Keller Smeltzer and Virgie Ellen Baldwin Smeltzer.
Grace had worked in management with Giant Food for 20 years and was a member of the Rileyville Baptist Church.
On April 14, 1953, she married Johnny Ulysses Rothgeb, who died on November 9, 2018.
Grace is survived by a son, Larry Rothgeb of Salem; four grandchildren, John N. Rothgeb, Suzanne Rothgeb, Alex Bohm and Kassey Newman; and six great-grandchildren, Christian, Caleb, Kamryn, Jorden, Shea and Nico. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Paige Bohm; three brothers, Joseph Smeltzer Sr., Jonas Smeltzer and James Smeltzer; and two sisters, Betty Lee McInturff and Doris Clem.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Donnie Lam, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rileyville Gospel Church.
