Age 77, Stanley, Va.
Gracie Mae Berry, 77, of Stanley, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
She was born on November 28, 1946, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Granville Cubbage and Ella Louise Breeden Cubbage.
Gracie retired from Wrangler with 30 years of service and was a member of the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her flower beds. Gracie also loved traveling to sporting events in support of her grandchildren and spending time with them.
On August 30, 1980, she married Danny Berry, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Loretta “Lynn” Martinez and Birdena “Birdie” Short, both of Stanley; a granddaughter, Daniela Morris and husband Chad of Elkton; a grandson, Casey Breeden and fiancée Samantha Wood of Stanley; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Breeden.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, at the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church by Pastor Randy Miller, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church or to the Page County SPCA.
