March grand jury issues 43 indictments against 19 individuals

LURAY, March 4 — Members of a grand jury in Page County Circuit Court issued a true bill on a total of 43 indictments handed down Wednesday, March 4 on charges placed among 19 individuals.

Those named individuals indicted by the March 4 grand jury include:

Jeremiah Lewis Goode, of Elkton and Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for grand larceny theft of an automobile, and a Class 6 felony for eluding or disregarding police. Goode received four direct indictments, including a felony and three misdemeanors, for destruction of property with intent costing more than or equal to $1,000 (Class 6 felony); driving while operator’s license is revoked or suspended (Class 1 misdemeanor); reckless driving endangering life, limb or property (Class 1 misdemeanor); and not stopping vehicle before entering highway (Class 1 misdemeanor). The first two charges listed Goode’s address as Elkton, while the four direct indictments listed it as Shenandoah. All offenses occurred on Aug. 10, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Sept. 29, 2025. Goode is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10 for a jury trial.

Shawn Hugh Sheriff, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for entering a structure to commit assault and battery, a Class 6 felony for damaging a public building with a cost greater than or equal to $1,000, a Class 1 misdemeanor for calling or setting off an emergency alarm without cause, and a Class 3 misdemeanor for trespassing on school or church property at night. All offenses and an arrest took place on Dec. 2, 2025, according to court records. Sheriff is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 to enter a plea.

Joseph Matthew Vaughan, of Luray, Va. received four direct indictments stemming from incidents in 2022. Vaughan was indicted on an unclassified felony for possession with intent to manufacture a Schedule I/II drug, two Class 5 felonies for two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and a Class 6 felony for possessing a gun while in possession of a Schedule I/II drug. All offenses occurred on Aug. 4, 2022, according to court records, with no arrest date listed. Vaughan is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, for a status hearing.

Shane Aaron Price, of Shenandoah, Va., received three direct indictments for an unclassified felony for the manufacture or distribution of a Schedule I/II drug (second offense), a Class 6 felony for the violent felony possession or transportation of a weapon, and a Class 6 felony for the possession of a gun while selling a Schedule I/II drug. All offenses occurred on March 25, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on March 4, 2026. Price was arrested on a capias bond the day of the grand jury session. Price is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 for a status hearing.

Jade Alexis Buracker, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 6 felonies for two counts of child abuse with disregard of life, and two Class 1 misdemeanors for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. All offenses occurred on Oct. 18, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Oct. 22, 2025. Buracker is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1 for a status hearing.

Dylan Scott Lucas, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for violent felony possession or transportation of a weapon, a Class 1 misdemeanor for pointing or brandishing a firearm, and a Class 1 misdemeanor for assault and battery. All offenses occurred on Dec. 26, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Dec. 27, 2025. Lucas is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8 for a hearing.

Brandi Bailey Aleshire (also listed as Brandi Nicole Aleshire), of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and a Class 6 felony for prisoner possession of an unlawful chemical. The offenses occurred, according to court records, on May 19, 2025; Nov. 19, 2025; and Nov. 20, 2025; respectively, with an arrest on the same date for each offense. Aleshire is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 to enter a plea.

• Henry Easton Carrico Jr., of Stanley, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The first offense occurred on July 12, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Sept. 19, 2025; while the second offense occurred on Nov. 3, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Dec. 19, 2025. Carrico is scheduled to return to court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6 for a status hearing.

• James Lenfred Moyer, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The first offense occurred on Aug. 20, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Nov. 19, 2025; while the second offense and an arrest occurred on Nov. 19, 2025, according to court records. Moyer is scheduled to return to court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 to enter a plea.

• Joshua Lynn Knott, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The first offense occurred on Oct. 9, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Dec. 19, 2025; while the second offense occurred on Nov. 3, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Dec. 19, 2025. Knott is scheduled to return to court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 for a status hearing.

• David Phillip Edwards, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for non-violent felony possession of a gun more than 10 yeas after the conviction of a felony, and a Class 1 misdemeanor for carrying a concealed firearm. The offenses occurred on Aug. 24, 2025, according to court records. A capias warrant has been issued for Edwards’ arrest.

• Cynthia Kay Brown, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Sept. 19, 2025, according to court records. Brown entered a plea of guilty on March 18 and was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary with two years suspended and three years of supervised probation.

• Kashaish Charvelle Jackson, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Oct. 9, 2025, according to court records. Jackson is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 to enter a plea.

• Nathan Wayne Kibler, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Oct. 7, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Oct. 21, 2025. Kibler is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 for a hearing.

• Sharon Leigh Smith, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Oct. 25, 2025, according to court records. Smith entered a plea of guilty on March 18 and was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary with two years suspended and three years of supervised probation.

• Zachary Aaron Sours, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Nov. 9, 2025, according to court records. Sours is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 for a hearing.

• David Ludwell Berry III, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for receiving or aiding in concealing a stolen firearm. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 4, 2025, according to court records. Through a plea, Berry received deferred disposition (first offense charge), along with two years of supervised probation. He is scheduled for a review in court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2028.

• Paul Franz-Jaquet Fitzpatrick, of (address not listed), was indicted on a Class 6 felony for violation of a protective order (stalking). The offense occurred on Feb. 28, 2026, according to court records, with no arrest listed. Fitzpatrick is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25 for a status hearing.

• Bradley Scott Ritchie, of Elkton, Va., was indicted on a Class 1 misdemeanor for violating a protective order. The offense occurred on Feb. 24, 2026, according to court records. Ritchie was arrested under a capias warrant on March 4. A status hearing was held on March 18 and another status hearing for Ritchie is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1.

Grand jury hearings are held the first Wednesday of each month in Page County Circuit Court.
