NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PAGE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the PAGE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, located in the Page County Government Center, 103 South Court Street, 2nd Floor, Luray, VA, to receive public comments and to consider the following amendments to the Page County Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 125):
In Article I (Purpose and Application), Section 125-2 (Application), amend spelling of “provisions.”
In Article II (Word Usage and Definitions), Section 125-4 (Definitions), add new definitions for “Catering Facility,” “Restaurant, Drive-Thru” and “Mobile Food Vending Operations” and amend the definition for “Restaurant.”
In Article IV (District Regulations), Section 125-9 (Woodland-Conservation), add “catering facilities” and “mobile food vending operations” to permitted accessory uses.
In Article IV (District Regulations), Section 125-10 (Agriculture), add “catering facilities” and “mobile food vending operations” to permitted accessory uses
In Article IV (District Regulations), Section 125-11 (Residential), add “catering facilities” to permitted accessory uses.
In Article IV (District Regulations), Section 125-12 (Commercial), amend permitted uses under subpart 5 related to places serving food.
In Article IV (District Regulations), Section 125-13 (Industrial), add “mobile food vending operations” to permitted accessory uses.
In Article V (Supplemental Regulations), Section 125-21 (Offstreet parking and truck loading requirements), add regulations for catering facilities.
In Article V (Supplemental Regulations), Section 125-24 (Restaurants, Drive-in), amend text to replace “drive-in” with “drive-thru.”
In Article V (Supplemental Regulations), Section 125-30.17 (Restaurant), amend regulations for restaurant.
In Article V (Supplemental Regulations), Section 125-30.24 (Catering facilities), add regulations for catering facilities.
In Article V (Supplemental Regulations), Section 125-30.25 (Mobile food vending operations), add regulations for mobile food vending operations.
The full text of the proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance may be reviewed in the Planning & Community Development Office, 103 South Court Street, Suite B, Luray, VA, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. They may also be reviewed on the County’s website atwww.pagecounty.virginia.gov. NOTE: Hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the Zoning Office at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.
