Honored farmers

December 5, 1986 — Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Burner of Rt. 2, Luray, have been named Young Farmers of the Year by the Young Farmer Committee of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation. The announcement was made during the federation’s annual meeting last week. The Burners operate a 668-acre family farm just off U.S. 340 between Luray and Stanley in a corporation with his father, Buddy Burner.
