April 30, 1964 — David D. Gray, boatswain’s mate first class, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Gray, of Route 2, Stanley, is serving aboard the amphibious command ship USS Taconic, operating out of Norfolk. 

Airman William Bauserman, who entered the Army Reserve on Feb. 29, has just completed his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and is now stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Airman Bauserman spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Bauserman. 

Sgt. Robert N. Seal of the USMC has been spending his leave at the home of his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Daniel N. Seal on Route 2, Luray, before leaving for Okinawa where he will be stationed for 13 months. He was last stationed at Quantico. 

Pvt. Lewis J.D. Knott, whose mother Mrs. Daisy F. Judd, lives on Route 1, Luray, completed advanced training as a Hercules missile fire control crewman at the Army Air Defense School, Fort Bliss, Texas, April 17. 

Pfc. Roger L. Knott, son of Elmer T. Knott and the late Rose K. Knott, of Luray, was recently transferred from Fort Bliss, Texas, to Korea for about a year or so.
