Iron Works sold

Aerial view of the Town of Shenandoah

March 14, 1889 — Mr. D.W. Flickwir, of the S.V.R.R., has bought the Shenandoah Iron Works at Milnes for the sum of $100,000. The people of this county feel a deep interest in this important enterprise, and rejoice that it has fallen into the hands so energetic and enterprising a gentleman as they know Mr. F. to be, and especially one who has always shown so liberal and kindly interest in the welfare of our county. We hope soon to be able to report the resumption of work.
