Iva Katherine Lucas Painter, 91, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on April 14, 1934, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Oliver Lucas and Lucy Cubbage Lucas.
Iva had worked at Wrangler for 20 years.
On February 1, 1951, she married Irvin Osburn Painter, who died on May 12, 2011.
Iva is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Davis Lucas, Oscar Lucas and Alfred Lucas; and a sister, Betty Rhinehart.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, at the Leake’s Chapel Cemetery in Stanley by Pastor Randy Miller.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
