James Randolph Turner, 82, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.
He was born on May 11, 1943, in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Samuel Lee Turner and Dollie Housden Turner.
On July 8, 1994, he married Carlee Ramey Turner, who survives.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by three daughters, Sherry Hall of Elkton, Jamie Coleman and husband Shaine of Middletown, and Dr. Dixie Turner and husband Ian Treme of Maine; a special friend, Stacy Berry and wife Shiela of Stanley; three grandchildren, Dakota Hall, Quinn Coleman and Colin Coleman; and one great-grandchild, Myla Hall.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Sue Turner; and three sisters, June Malbone, Florence Keyser and Joyce Turner.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 2, at the Forward For Christ Baptist Church in Luray by Pastor Josh Parlett and Evangelist Doug Gochenour, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
