Jane Lorraine Painter Clem, 87, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.
She was born on May 13, 1937, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Clyde Clarence Painter and Margaret Verda Phillips Painter.
Jane had worked as a bus driver for Page County Public Schools for 10 years and was a member of the Stanley Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
On September 5, 1954, she married Harlon Davis Clem, who died on January 19, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Clem of Stanley, and Julie Vaughn and husband Sean, also of Stanley; six grandchildren, Tracey Gray, Devon Clem Turner, Amber Davis, Sean Vaughn II and wife Amber, Phillip Vaughn and wife Amanda, and Caitlin Gray and husband Joel; 13 great-grandchildren, Tanea, Dontre, Mikayla, Dominic, Dakota, Riley, Hunter, Jayden, Madison, Isabella, Abigail, Haley and Kendall; and one great-great-grandchild, Taniya.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael “Mickey” Harlon Clem.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at the Stanley Seventh-day Adventist Church by Pastor Robert Banks and Pastor Frank Good, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Burial will be in the Stanley Advent Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
