The Town of Stanley is now accepting applications for a full-time police officer. The position is responsible for public safety, law Enforcement, crime prevention, traffic control, accident investigation and community policing. The duties also include record keeping, reporting and good communication skills as required by local, state and federal agencies and/or law. Applicants must have current police certification through Virginia DCJS, valid Virginia driver’s license and must pass a physical examination. All applicants will be subject to a background check and must be a U.S. citizen. Salary will be based on qualifications. Excellent benefit package and paid medical insurance. Applications may be picked up at the Stanley Town Office, 278 East Main Street, Monday through Friday during normal business hours or downloaded online at the Town of Stanley website. EOE.
