NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF SHENANDOAH
TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION
REZONING REQUEST
Pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 Code of Virginia, as amended, a joint public hearing will be held by the Shenandoah Town Council and the Shenandoah Planning Commission on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town Hall, 426 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, to consider the following Rezoning Request being presented by:
Larry W. Turner, who owns a parcel of property located at and near Shenandoah River Rd, Shenandoah, Virginia, identified as tax map numbers 102A1-A-8D. The applicant is requesting a rezoning, on the entire tract of lot referenced on the above property, from Industrial to R1 (Residential 1). The density range in this area is medium to high. If approved, this rezoning would allow any items listed as a matter-of-right and in compliance with Section 50-66 of the Code of the Town of Shenandoah.
Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing to express their views.
Copies of the request and the Code of the Town of Shenandoah are available for examination in the Shenandoah Town Hall, 426 First Street, Shenandoah, Virginia, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
NOTE: Any hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the town office at least seven (7) days prior to the public hearing.
