Age 90, Port Republic, Va.
Juanita Comer Harrison, 90, of Port Republic, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Harrison was born on September 1, 1933 in Shenandoah and was the daughter of the late William R. and Virginia Smith Comer. She spent her childhood in Shenandoah and attended Shenandoah High School. She was a member of the Port Republic Riverside Church and was active with the Sunshine Seniors Group. Mrs. Harrison loved growing flowers and enjoyed baking cakes, whom she shared with family and friends. She was a devoted wife, and an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all that loved her.
On July 15, 1949 she married David Lee Harrison who preceded her in death on May 8, 1998. Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Randall Lee Comer.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Ziegler and husband, Steve, Sue Good and husband, Norman, Margaret Metcalfe and husband, Craig, Davida Schuler and husband, Jim; six grandchildren, Michele Dansey and husband, Rad, Heather Reich and friend, Justin, Mark Good and wife, Tiffany, Benjamin Ziegler and wife, Rachael, Candice Ziegler, Stephen Ziegler and wife, Kendra; sixteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Port Republic Riverside Church in Port Republic with Reverend Jace Bowers and Reverend Stephen Ziegler officiating. Burial will be private at the Port Republic Cemetery in Port Republic, Virginia.
Family and friends are welcome at the home of her daughter, Sue and Norman Good at any time.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
